Being a Reiki grand master, I am involved in various group discussions and in touch with many who are into alternative therapies. Many of them have talked high about past life regression therapy and I was looking forward to attending one. So I jumped at the opportunity to attend the Past Life Regression Therapist's course at Hyderabad. Dr. Newton is a well known figure in this field. A friend who had attended his course had highly recommended his name.

Being continuously on the spiritual path, I thought I may gain only marginally from this course. But it blew my preconceived notions to the wind and I returned with a wealth of knowledge and spellbinding experience.

As an ordinary human being our views are like when standing on the ground and looking around. When I became a Reiki channel, my view changed to the status of standing on the roof of a house and looking down. I could get a more generalized view of life and see much more details. After undergoing PLR sessions, it is like I am looking at life from the sky. Oh! What a broad picture of life is coming into my vision and it helps me to understand people better. I am more tolerant to people around me and I have risen above the duality of life to a great extent.

After one session when Dr. Newton asked us to scan our body and locate the pain, to go to the past life that created it, my thought went like this, 'I don't have any pain since Reiki is with me'. Then I felt my right ankle murmuring 'Hey. I am here, I'm here'. Then I could feel some pain in my right ankle. And I remembered that twice before I had twisted my right ankle and at one time it had caused severe pain and the swelling had lasted for many days.

On reaching the life that caused the basic problem in the right ankle, I saw that as a young Brahmin boy, I died hitting my right ankle at the bottom of a pool. As a soul when I watched that body, I could see the concussion on the ankle and the porous structure of the bone. After healing that injury, when I came back to the present, the pain was gone! I got some more information from that past life - while dying, the boy's mouth was open and he drank a lot of water. In this life, though I can swim, I cannot breathe while in water since I hate to open my mouth (to exhale) while in water.

The aspect that I liked best was that though the body will be completely relaxed during the session, the mind will be completely alert. The situation is totally under one's control and he/ she is not a helpless victim.

The question 'Who am I?" has been in my mind from childhood and I have been getting incomplete answers to this question from various spiritual practices. My PLR experience has given me a complete answer to this question.

It is as if the colored glass has been removed from in front of my eyes. I can see the world, others and myself as they really are. That is a great transformation to me.

In one of my past lives, I died of starvation during a famine. When my wife and son were on death bed, I went to the Zamindar for help, in vain. At the time of my death, my heart was filled with hatred and anger against the Zamindar. When that life was viewed from the Soul's plane, I realized that the Zamindar was indeed a very helpful person and at the time of famine, he couldn't help the multitude of people who approached him. This realization immediately removed the hatred and anger that were bottled up and I could feel so light inside. I identified the Zamindar of the past life as a friend of my present life, and I got the answer why I used to harbor untoward feelings towards this person at times, without obvious reasons!

For anybody who considers himself/herself more than just the physical body, past life regression is a sure way to understand the self better. It is amazing how much energy will be released once we become aware of the locked up emotions and heal them from the soul level. We can use this abundant energy to progress towards our lives' mission.

Who else is better than Dr. Newton and his team to take you into this un-tread path? I was truly amazed at the thorough professional level the course was conducted. Dr. Newton is a very compassionate and devoted teacher, with an insight into the psyche of whoever comes in contact with him.

My experience with the PLR session has given me a giant leap to the next level of my spiritual path.
