"Meditation is acceptance. It is the acceptance of life within us, without us and all around us. Acceptance of life is the beginning of human satisfaction. Transformation of life is the culmination of divine satisfaction. "

‘KNOWLEDGE OF THE SELF’ IS ‘LIBERATION OF THE SELF’

Dr. NEWTON KONDAVETI

Founder’s Message

My Dear Friends,

Wish you all a wonderful year ahead!

In our lives, we all go through periods of intense physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual upheaval. We refer to these as ‘Moments of Truth’. Did you ever wonder why?

Truth is one of the central subjects in philosophy, religion, and in almost every aspect of our lives. A huge variety of issues in our lives relate to truth.

Although Truth has been a topic of discussion for thousands of years, it is still one of the most controversial! The problem of Truth is: what Truths are, and what (if anything) makes them true. But this statement is controversial. Truth, they say, has many facets. This is so because no two people in the universe perceive a particular thing in exactly the same way. Hence we have many versions of the Truth! There is a contradiction in this statement too because Truth, by its definition, can be only one!

How then, do we then go beyond the contradictions and controversy surrounding truth? To make things clear, I wish to share the following anecdote from the life of Adi Sankara.

“Adi Sankara, the exponent of Advaita Vedanta had a foolish disciple who imitated the master's deeds. Whenever the master uttered 'Shivoham' (I am Shiva), the foolish disciple used to immediately repeat it. One day the master in order to teach him a lesson, while passing by a smithy, took a pot full of molten iron and swallowed it. He then asked the disciple to repeat the deed. The disciple could not imitate the master this time and henceforth gave up the habit of imitating the master.”

The actual import of the Truth ought to be captured and lived in order to make the Truth an experience rather than a mere mechanical repetition. This kind of repetition is dangerous. Equally dangerous is the rejecting the truth of another just because you have not experienced it. In this regard, there are three types of people in the world.

  • Those who follow the Truths of others blindly without having experienced them.
  • Those who reject the Truths of others on hearsay without having experienced the contrary.
  • Those who follow Truths that are backed by experience, and allow others to live their own Truths.

The people of the first two types bring about disharmony, unrest, and strife in the world. The people of the third category bring love, joy, and peace into the world. They are the true researchers of Truth!

Become a True Researcher of Truth,

Ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall set you free!

With all the Love, Light, and Joy,

Dr. Newton Kondaveti

EDITORIAL

Dear Readers,

LIFE TIMES wishes all of you a very Happy, Enlightening and Prosperous New Year!

Talking about prosperity brings us to the question – Are Money and Spirituality like the proverbial East and West? The common belief is that Money is Money and Spirituality is Spirituality, and that both can never meet. This is one of the many limiting beliefs that people have. However, there is enough evidence to show that we create our reality in accordance with our conscious and subconscious beliefs and thoughts.

A belief that 'Money' and 'Spirituality' do not go together is the root cause behind why most people on the 'spiritual path' do not attract enough money (as much as they would like to) in their lives. They stifle the flow of all good things into their lives – Joy, Health, Relationships, and of course Money! To justify their situations, they label all the things that they distance themselves from as ‘Non-spiritual’. Often, when the going gets too tough, they begin to doubt spirituality itself and begin to view ‘spirituality’ as the culprit that is responsible for their woes.

The views that we have just stated have been validated by our experience in working with thousands of clients and workshop participants over the past one decade of work at the Life Research Academy. We realized the importance of helping people overcome their limiting beliefs by empowering them with the Universal Truths related to manifesting abundance. The workshop on “Money and Spirituality – A Gateway to Prosperity and Success” was born out of this intention. This was conducted at Life Research Academy, Hyderabad, on 16th and 17th January. Forty-five participants from all over India attended this workshop and worked on transforming their limiting beliefs by experiencing the Universal Truths.

Another important event was conducting the certification exam for the 7th batch of Past Life Regression Therapists by Life Research Academy on 10th January. All the 10 therapists who appeared were certified. They are Dr. Sai Sapna Anmolsingh (Trinidad), Dr. Soumya Rao (Bangalore, India), Purvi Beri (Dubai), Resmi R Mohan (Trivandrum, India), Akhila Suri (Rajahmundry, India), Harika Suri (Rajahmundry India), Dr. Beena Rani Goel (Belgaum, India), Ashwitha Vajandar, (Bangalore, India), Suchitra Joshi (Pune, India), and Nimmoo Kinger (Mysore, India). All the 10 were women. It looks like 2010 will be a year of the womenfolk! LIFE TIMES congratulates all ten of them and wishes them all the best in their endeavor to help people find their true selves.

This is the fourth straight issue of LIFE TIMES since it was revived in April 2009, and we thank readers for inspiring us to present Spiritual Wisdom and Universal Truths in our own unique way. Truth is the theme of this issue of LIFE TIMES.

Often, Truth is stranger than Fiction.

However, pursue the Truth.

And Truth shall prevail.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE LAST FEW MONTHS

Dear Readers,

The last two months went by at such a pace at the Life Research Academy that we never quite realized when the last year ended and when the New Year started! We are pleased to bring to you the highlights of this eventful period.

Two-day Workshops on “Past Life Regression and Spiritual Science”

The Two-day Workshops on “Past Life Regression and Spiritual Science” is the most important workshop offered by Life Research Academy, as it provides participants with the foundation of Spiritual Science and helps them connect to the ‘larger reality’. It also serves to bring about the attunement required for further therapeutic one-to-one past life exploration sessions that may be required for healing and transformation. Over the years these workshops have evolved into truly multidimensional journeys into consciousness. In December 2009, we conducted these workshops at Baroda, Pune, and Hyderabad; and in January 2010, they were conducted in Mysore and Bangalore.

9th Batch of 6-day Residential Training Program on “Past Life Regression Therapy”

In December 2009, we conducted the 6-day Residential Training Program on “Past Life Regression Therapy” at the Celebrity Resort, Shamirpet, Hyderabad. With this batch, which had a record 43 participants, the total number of people who have undergone the training in India has gone up to 225! We are getting closer to our target of training 1000 therapists in India!

Amala Akkineni’s visit to the Life Research Academy

On 26th December, Amala Akkineni visited the Life Research Academy’s own premises at Hyderabad for the first time. Her visit brought back fond memories - almost ten years ago, she was the one who had inaugurated “Past Life Therapy Clinic”, which later became the Life Research Academy! She is a meditator and great spiritual master and has recalled many of her past lives. She is the Secretary of the Blue Cross of Hyderabad, a non-profit Animal Welfare Organization that works for the welfare of animals and preservation of animal rights in the Twin Cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, India.

Free Meditation Classes

Free meditation classes are held on the last Sunday of every month at the Life Research Academy. These classes provide a wonderful opportunity for those interested in learning meditation to get initiated. The classes have also become an excellent platform for those who have earlier attended our workshops or taken individual sessions to meet and catch up with the latest developments at Life Research Academy and Life University. The class conducted on 27th December 2009 was conducted by Dr. Newton. Later, “The Shift”, a movie by Wayne Dyer was screened. The class on 31st January was conducted by Rajashekhar.

International Conference on Integrated Holistic Healing

Nowadays, we observe that awareness about holistic healing and alternative medicine is increasing all over the world. Integrated Healing Forum  organized an “International Conference on Integrated Holistic Healing” at Nagpur on 9th and 10th January 2010. Dr. Newton was invited to deliver the Keynote address, which he did on the opening day of the conference. The response to his speech was excellent and the conference too was a grand success.

Workshop on “Money and Spirituality – A Gateway to Prosperity & Success” at Hyderabad

After it was lauched in July 2009 at Delhi, the ‘Money and Spirituality’ workshop could not be conducted anywhere due to the packed schedule of Dr. Newton and Dr. Lakshmi. Finally, we managed to conduct it on 16th and 17th January 2010. The workshop was a great success with 45 participants coming from all over India to attend it.

Workshop on “Radiant Relationships and Past Life Connections” at Pyramid Valley, Bangalore

This workshop was conducted at Pyramid Valley, Bangalore on 23rd and 24th January. This was also a much awaited workshop. Participants of GCSS 2009 had a preview of this workshop when they attended the presentation by Dr. Newton and Dr. Lakshmi on “The Seven Essene Mirrors of Relationships”. This was the first time that this workshop was conducted in Bangalore. However, the participation was not limited to people from Bangalore, with many enthusiastic participants coming from all over India to attend it.
